At Peyton Manning Children’s hospital we believe learning never stops and want to provide patients with a school away from school opportunity during a hospital stay.
Heather Wiselogle joined the PMCH team in 2018 and came to us with 15 years of teaching experience with a Masters Degree in Technology. Using research based strategies and programs she provides patients with one on one and/or small group learning experiences in the hospital classroom, or by offering bedside lessons/tutoring for patients unable to leave the room.
In addition to being a resource to patients, Heather is also happy to support parents with communication with their home school before, during, and after a hospital stay. Whether calling in attendance, collecting missed work, or supporting accommodations needed for patients returning to school, Heather is available Monday-Friday year round to assist parents/families in addition to the patient.
The School Program also looks forward to offering special events throughout the year to further encourage and support the learning of PMCH patients and families.
