Mitchell Goldman - Pediatric Sedation Services Mitchell Goldman, DO, FAAEM, FAAP

Medical Director of Outpatient Pediatric Sedation Services

Dr. Goldman oversees the Pediatric Sedation Services Department and is he is also the Medical Director of the PMCH Hilbert Pediatric Emergency Department. Dr. Goldman and his team have established a nationally recognized model for pediatric sedation services. Unlike other medical institutions, this team is solely focused on Pediatric Sedation procedures and is not pulled from other parts of the Hospital. Dr. Goldman is board-certified in Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine and received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kansas City, MO. He completed both Pediatric and Emergency Medicine residencies at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Prior to that he attained his BS in biology from Bradley University. Dr. Goldman is an avid medical educator and the national course director for American Academy of Emergency Medicine Pearls of Wisdom Oral Board Review Course. He has a special medical research interest in pediatric asthma. Dr. Goldman is the Chair of the St.Vincent Hospital Procedural Sedation Committee.

Nicole Mohr-Eslinger - Pediatric Sedation Services Nicole Mohr-Eslinger, MS, RN, CPNP

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

As a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Nicole is on the frontline with every family, educating and caring for your child throughout the sedation procedure. She has special training in pediatric sedation services and pediatric airway procedures. As a critical care nurse, Nicole had a long tenure caring for critically ill children in the ICU and more recently in the PMCH Emergency Department. Her degrees are in psychology and nursing with a master’s degree in pediatric nursing. She is an inducted member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, Alpha Chapter. As a mother of two, she intuitively understands the stress the family is experiencing and utilizes all the tools and resources at PMCH to help make each visit as comfortable yet fulfilling as possible.

Wendy-Nance-Pediatric-Sedation-Services Wendy Nance, RN

As a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Sedation, Wendy has extensive training and certification in pediatric nursing. She has been a nurse in pediatrics for more than 17 years at St.Vincent. Her areas of special training include pediatric emergency nursing, PICU, NICU and general pediatrics. As a mother of two, Wendy has a calm nature and helps ease her patients and families through the sedation process. Wendy has received Daisy Awards from families for her extraordinary patient care. She truly cares for her patients and families.

Davaina Schounce - Pediatric Sedation Services Davaina Schounce, RN, BSN, CPEN

Manager, Pediatric Sedation Services and Hilbert Pediatric Emergency Department

As a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Sedation Services, Davaina has extensive training and certification in pediatric emergency nursing and special training in pediatric sedation. She has a long history caring for critically ill children in PICU and NICU at Riley Children’s Hospital and PMCH, as well as, the PMCH Emergency Department. As a mother of two, Davaina has a very calming approach with children so that they get the optimum experience as they are going through the sedation process. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Indiana State Nurses Association, and the National Society of Pediatric Nursing.
