We form a rehabilitative and therapeutic program, and build a team of rehabilitation specialists around your child.

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation: A Multidisciplinary Team Approach

When your child begins treatment at the Pediatric Rehabilitation Center at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St.Vincent, you can expect a multidisciplinary team of pediatric–trained staff members. This team develops a treatment plan, sets realistic goals for your child, and helps him or her achieve those goals. Your child’s team is led by a physician and members of the team may include:

  • Case Manager
  • Chaplain
  • Child Life Specialist
  • Nurses-RNs, LPNs, CNAs
  • Pharmacist
  • Psychologist / Neuropsychologist
  • Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists
  • Respiratory Therapists
  • Social Worker

Other pediatric physician specialists are available for consultation at any time. Some may function as attending physicians as well.
