The pediatric Urology team at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St.Vincent provides compassionate care to children of all ages. A pediatric urologist treats conditions affecting the kidneys, ureter, bladder, urethra, penis and testicles.
At PMCH, these urologists diagnose and treat all types of urologic conditions with family-centered care. These urologists also work closely with other PMCH pediatric subspecialists especially during hospitalization and the management of complex cases.
Diagnostic & Treatments
- Endoscopic procedure: Using a long, thin camera, the urologist can view the bladder and ureters without making incisions. This procedure may also be used to treat kidney stones.
- Imaging studies: Working with the pediatric radiologists, diagnostic imaging studies (x-Ray, MRI, ultrasound, CT scan, etc.) are available at PMCH to assist physicians in the diagnosis of the urinary system.
- Surgery & Reconstruction: These board-certified urologists are highly experienced surgeons specializing in the pediatric urinary system. Our doctors, nurses and the surgical team are very attentive to minimizing the anxiety and distress that comes from having surgery.
- Urodynamic testing: This study observes the hold and release of urine in the bladder, and other parts of the urinary system.
